Assessment Integrity
The University of Florida uses Proctorio, an online proctoring platform, to support the integrity of assessments. The platform provides flexible configuration options for different assessment types and is designed with a privacy-focused architecture that ensures assessment data is only accessible to authorized personnel within the institution.
Proctorio operates only within the assessment environment and collects data soley during an active proctored session. During that session authorized faculty or staff may configure Proctorio to collect the following data:
- Video and audio recordings
- Screen recordings
- Browser activity
- Identity and ID verification images
- Exam metadata
- Device and Connection information
No data collected outside of active exam. Once an exam is complete, students my disable or uninstall any Proctorio applications from their device.
During proctored assessments, Proctorio may record and report events, such as leaving the exam page or a camera disconnecting, and may limit access to certain resources based on settings selected by your institution. Proctorio does not score exams or make decisions about academic integrity. All settings, reviews, and final decisions are managed by your institution. To protect privacy, Proctorio cannot view or access exam content or exam data.
